Lesson Scheduling Lesson scheduling is done via email or phone by the teachers themselves. Since lesson openings are fluid, the guys who work in the store cannot give you available lesson times, please contact the teachers directly for this information. They can be emailed at centervillemusic.com on the lessons page.
Lesson Payment Lessons are paid for in advance at the 4th lesson of the month, even if there are 5 weeks in the month. At this time the parent should notify the teacher of any lessons that will be missed. The teachers rent studio space on the basis of scheduled lessons and are not refunded unused studio time. All payments are to be made to the teacher (not Centerville Music) and are not refundable. Failure to pay on time may result in the loss of a student's time slot. The teachers do not take credit cards, but checks are fine and of course cash is always acceptable. No Confederate money, please.
Student Cancellations In accordance with the rules of The Music Teachers National Association, any lesson cancelled by the student will be forfeited. If the teacher has been given 24 hours notice and is able to reschedule the missed lesson at a later time, they may, but are not required to do so. Taking lessons is a commitment on the part of the student and the student's family and frequent rescheduling of lessons is not acceptable.
Teacher Cancellations Any lesson cancelled by the teacher will be rescheduled or credited towards the next month's lessons, the choice is yours. You will be given 24 hours notice of any teacher cancellation by email.
Bad Weather In the event of inclement weather (I always wanted to say that) the student is responsible for attending lessons if the store is open and the teacher is teaching.
Lesson Rates Lessons are $70.00 for a 4 week month and $85.00 for a 5 week month. If you pay in advance by the 4th lesson of the month, you will receive a $10.00 discount, making lessons $60.00 and $75.00 respectively.
